AOL Image Compression -
Important note for AOL users:
In an attempt to provide faster download time,
and reduce the load on AOL's servers, the AOL browser may compress
images resulting in reduced resolution and poor image quality.
Your browser may also restrict the size of an image to 640x480
pixels which can distort some images.
If you use AOL version 4 or above, you can fix
the problem by following these steps:
Click on "My AOL" at the top of your
screen.
Click on "Preferences".
Click on the blue icon that has a yellow "W" in
it, and "WWW" under it.
Click on the "Web Graphics" tab.
Make sure that the box that says "Use Compressed
Graphics" is NOT checked.
This will fix images on future sites you visit, but on images on sites you
have already visited may still come up fuzzy the next time you view them. To
fix this:
Click on the "General" tab.
Look for "Temporary Internet Files",
and click the "Delete Files" button beside it.
This will allow you to enjoy internet photos and
graphics as they were intended to be seen!
